Little Wenham Hall
This is the earliest building in England built largely of brick. It was built c.1270–80 for Master Roger de Holbrok, who may have been a royal clerk (his brother, Sir Richard, was a royal steward and constable of Oxford and Rockingham castles). The standing structure was probably a grand chamber block to an adjoining hall.
