Hoxne Treasure
In 1992 a treasure consisting of 14,780 gold, silver and bronze coins, and some 200 other gold and silver objects, was discovered in the remains of a wooden chest. It was probably buried in the early 5th century, towards the end of Roman rule in Britain.
The hoard is now in the British Museum
